How did you get into neuroscience?
Before coming to the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown (CCU), I worked in rocket science at the European Space Agency. During my interview for the PhD program at the CCU, one of the lab heads asked me if there was any relationship between rocket science and neuroscience. I answered the first thing that came to my mind: “Both sciences deal with things that fire”. I still think that answer had something to do with me being selected for the PhD program.
